A sewer scope inspection is exactly what it sounds like. A professional inspector will inspect the sewer line of your home by inserting a flexible borescope camera into your pipes. Then, the camera will be guided into the sewer line, which drains your home’s wastewater into the sewer system.
Using this camera, the inspector will perform a comprehensive inspection of the sewer line, and look for things like cracks, damage to the lines, roots that have grown through the pipe, and any other potential concerns. The process takes about an hour. Then, your inspector will tell you what they have found, and provide you with a comprehensive, written report about the sewer line’s condition.
A sewer scope inspection is quick, affordable, and can save you thousands of dollars if an issue is found. So whether you’re buying a new home or suspect an issue with your home’s sewer line, you should definitely consider a sewer scope inspection.

Most builders offer a one-year warranty on a new home. We perform a full home inspection before the builder’s warranty expires. Just because your home is new doesn’t necessarily mean it is defect free. We know it is tempting to skip this inspection, after all, this is a new home and what could possibly be wrong with it? The risk of not having this inspection can cost you a lot of money later. For example, if a pipe fails under your home and you didn’t know it was happening, you might later be dealing with a flooded basement; an issue that could have been prevented.
If something is found in the inspection, the best part, it is likely covered in a warranty. This means you won’t be paying out of pocket for repairs or replacements.
If you are listing your home on the market and would like to have its condition assessed beforehand, True Property Inspections is here to help. Our pre-listing home inspections include the same services as our buyer’s home inspections:
